I was in Denver all day wednesday for another Realtor Rally tradeshow. And got out of town just before traffic got really bad due to some accident somewhere. The last hour of the show my co-worker scored some free drink tickets, and that coupled with the sunny drive home got me in the mood to grill out a bacon, mushroom cheeseburger. Which I did.

Friday steph came over and whipped up a late st. patty's day feast of shepherds pie & soda bread. Got to sleep in saturday morning since we took a weekend off from riding. Ran a bunch of errands all day, including getting a nice new futon frame for the futon mattress that's been taking up too much floor space in the guest/music room. Later that night GW joined us and headed into denver for some dinner at the cool mexican joint with the large margs. Robert ordered a burrito bigger than his forearm and colored like the mexican flag. Viva la burrito!

After dinner, we walked over to the ogden for the Justice/Diplo/Fancy show. Diplo kicked off the sold out show with an hour or so of upbeat choons. Fancy is a french disco band that was on the bill, but never showed up because one of their members shares the same name as a reportedly deceased, suspected member of Al Qaeda, Mohamed Yamani, so he couldn't get a visa issued. The place was packed a bit too crowded when Justice hit the stage. But close quarters aside, they drilled out a banging set, closing out with 'master of puppets', perhaps in honor of the uncanny resemblance of their stage prop to the aforementioned album cover art.

The next morning steph & I met up with the fam for easter mass. I amused myself by making the sign of the cross like Justice did the night before, by crossing your arms out in front of your body. With Jesus now risen, we spent the rest of the day celebrating paul's b-day with a big feast back at hillside. We stuck around to catch John Adams then heading back to my place for my new favorite show, Dexter. Now we're kind of late to this one since the episodes are the heavily edited versions that CBS is re-running to fill up airtime in lieu of the writer's strike, but there was still enough storyline to get us hooked. I've since wathced up with the rest of the eps leading up to what's currently on the tele and am all caught up.
