Friday night we got a hotey room in denver for the Bassnectar gig at the Ogden. Funny thing was, for whatever reason, I decided we should leave about 15 minutes into his set and go back to the hotey room and party some more. On the way out I made frenemies with some security person manning the smoking area gates - I guess that is not the proper way to exit the venue. As soon as steph & I got back to the room, I passed out - so much for partying down in the hotey room. Oh well, I must have needed my rest.



The next morning we strolled down colfax, buying bunches of tickets for upcoming shows at various box offices to avoid ticketslasher fees. The tickets we bought at the Fillmore were JUMBO size, like 4 times the normal size of a ticket - practically a brochure! Then we had brunch at Pete's Kitchen and browsed vinyl next door at Twist & Shout - I picked up The Cult - Dreamtime and Leftfield - Afro Left EP. Once we got back to town, we went to the CU women's b-ball game with my parents. CU trailed the entire game and lost, but it was entertaining nonetheless with all the dancing, cheerleading, and band playing going on in between timeouts and such. After the game we had dinner at Southern Sun, then went back to steph's and watched The Dutchess, which deservedly had great costumes. Sunday was paper writing day back at my place.
