bronze & karoke

Friday after work I grabbed a pizza and headed over to steph's and we pre-partied a bit with greg & lisa as I watched the setlist unfold from phish's first night back on the road (incidentally, they pulled off the three nights better than I had expected). Then we all headed to Bender's Tavern to catch the Bronze cd release gig. We got there just in time and they played a solid set, until joaquin broke all of his drumsticks.



It was a pretty late evening, so we slept in saturday morning. We eventually headed over to hillside to do our taxes and check out paul's new gretsch hollow body, which was pretty sick. Then it we headed to stpeh's, scarfed some leftover za and went to the IFS to see a crazy spanish thriller - Timecrimes (trailer below):



After the movie we met up everyone at the outback in nobo for jeff's b-day celebration. Karoke was on the agenda and I rose to the occasion with a rambunctious punk/doom metal rendition of 99 Red Balloons. Sunday was chill - worked on a paper and caugh the new eps of Breaking Bad and Flight of the Conchords.
