Showed up at 1878 on friday and just missed the ford bronco sideswipe a parked car, then drive through a chain link fence and smash into a house that was being built two houses down. Good thing too, because I pulled up right behind the car that got tagged. Twenty minutes earlier, and it would have been my car.

Studied through saturday, taking in the world cup background style, had some drinks with J&D, then hit up shelter with kev. I'd never been there before, and it's basically a mini version of vinyl, not surprisingly as it's also owned by the soco club mafia. We camped out on the rooftop and had a great time taking in the unfolding of things. After sunday's crazy world cup matches, we celebrated lauren's b-day at the red lion. I had the venison.

Swung by the gothic tuesday night with robert to hit the sold-out sonic youth show list stylee. Didn't want to bother with taping, so we were able to take in the show from the right side balcony. The youth came correct, playing pretty much the entire new disc, with a few wicked oldies peppered in. Mark Ibold formerly of pavement helmed bass duties on the night.
