better late than forgotten

Got the first taste of powder up at Copper on saturday. They had 9 fresh inches and it snowed all day. Unfortunately they only had 2 lifts open, so the lines were longer than I would have liked, but I got some solid runs in nonetheless. Later on I hosted folks at my abode to watch the CU game. Luckily robert stepped up and brought another TV over so we could watch the Georgia game without having to flip back and forth. Although the mood was festive, both our teams lost, which leads me to believe the KP Sports Saloon may be jinxed. Somehow about half of us, including myself, ended up at Milo to crash.

Jacq & I kicked off season 3 of the OC game the night before with a triple header. We had some serious catching up to do. Apparently, in last weeks ep, marissa had a boob slip. Not surprisingly, I don't remember seeing it, as I can't seem to recall most of that last ep. Praise be to allah for plot recaps at the beginning of every new episode. When kerr got back, we watched the Trey dvd from red rocks. Unfortunately the close up shots of us in the crowd didn't make the final cut, but you do get to see what was essentially my birthday party this year. And in keeping with the theme of entertainment overkill, we capped off the night watching Trey perform on Letterman.

Some acton buddies we hadn't seen in forever had us over for dinner sunday night. We ate heartily and drank merrily whilst catching up on the last ten years or so. A nice end to a busy weekend.

So far as last weekend goes, it started out innocently enough as I travelled to denver friday to christen devin & kim's new abode with a bottle of bubbly, proceeded to sushi & saki, meandered to pool, ended with beavis & butthead reruns (on mtv2, which interestingly enough was the only channel that came in with the cable not yet hooked up) and a bottle of pitron that tim & I were forced to do shots of, since there was narry a mixer in sight.

I had to wake up early and zip back to boulder for the CU game which was at 1.30, so that meant tailgating commenced several hours earlier. It was bitter cold and I jettisoned (we had a sizeable lead) at half time, feeling a bit under the weather. It seems the night before was beginnging to play catch up. On my walk home, I was joined by the bob ukahed redslim and crew. I rested up sunday, and was feelin' fine for the week ahead, which was actually two weeks ago. Got it? OK.

G-Dub and I have been big time sports junkies all year, but its really kicked into high gear now that I have been staying at his hut on the weekends. I still don't really understand the whole process of teams getting picked for Bowl games in college football though. There are sooo many different bowls that you would think every team would get a chance to play.
Anyway, Georgia got ROBBED in that game last weekend.
