The Flaming Lips have released a cover version of the White Stripe's "Seven Nation Army" on their new mix cd for the LateNightTales series. It's actually more of a clever mash-up though, as most of the lyrics are taken straight from the Butthole Surfer's "Going to Florida", from the classic Cream Corn From the Socket of Davis EP. A nine-year old coma patient may have Green Day to thank for his improved condition. American Idiot, one of the boys favourite albums, was played to him while still comatose. About an hour into the album, he suddenly awoke. The band is reportedly thrilled.
