not richard but dick

jane: She did what a lot of contenders are afraid to do. Good for her. What a competitor!

dick: There's really no great splash or push to her program. It was easy going, like what you'd expect to do on a saturday afternoon.

jane: She is truly a great skater. Great crossfoot, the judges will reward her kindly for that.

dick: I find it truly a finugly position, but it does get a point, so whatever it takes I guess.

jane: A promissing young talent who's really emerged as a tenacious leader on the european circuit. She's been insipring to watch.

dick: That triple lutz had the grace of luggage shifting in the overhead bin.

jane: She has been competing for 14 years. This is her 3rd olympics. She must have a great passion for the sport to get on the ice everyday for 14 years.

dick: The sport of ice skating hasn't really changed much in the last 14 years - I think she should have been putting more thought into these last 14 years. I hope that didn't come across as mean.

double big ups to Sasha. But really, Kimmie Meissner didn't get the credit she deserved. She should have taken a strong third (i did think the russian girl that came in second deserved second).

I have a theory that the whole Michelle Kwan bow out deal was planned from the start, to keep the pressure and the media attention off sasha so she could just concentrate on skating...
