smokey & the ban

Boulder was one of the first cities in the nation to implement a smoking ban in public places back in 1995. Several other cities in Colorado, and across the US, have followed suit in recent years. With any luck, a bill may pass this week banning smoking in all public places across the entire state of Colorado.

Meanwhile, CU students have organized a capaign to have the punishment for getting caught with pot be reduced so that it is a lesser infringement than getting caught with booze. They are using the near impecable logic that stoned kids don't get violent, rape people, or overdose, like the drunk kids at CU have done in the past. Just make sure not to spark up in public guys...

The neph is heading to California with Third Street this evening for Expo West, so you probably won't hear from me until monday. Have a great weekend!
